11am Monday:

Tropical Storm Francine has formed in the western Gulf of Mexico and is expected to strengthen into a Hurricane by Tuesday evening. Landfall is forecast in Louisiana on Wednesday evening. She will weaken over land while advancing north along the Mississippi River.

We'll likely see at least some clouds locally by Friday and the weekend. Depending on how far north the remnants of Francine make it, we could see a few showers eventually during portions of the weekend, but high pressure will be fighting against the showers making it all the way up here, which means we would end up dry. Trends will be monitored on how things develop throughout the week. In the meantime, this week still looks mainly dry and warm.

Sunday Morning 9/8/24 - A warming trend with mainly dry weather.
