Stopped by the Findlay-Hancock County Public Library the other day and noticed their Elf on the Shelf in the jaws of a T. Rex. Poor guy. I'm sure the two are buddies and were just up to some holiday shenanigans. Have a great weekend!

💙💛 TROJAN SPOTLIGHT: Celebrating Sara Sublett! 💛💙

Today we are proud to recognize Sara Sublett for the incredible impact she makes every single day at Findlay High School. Sara is an essential part of our counseling team and a true pillar of support for our students, staff, and families.

As a member of CORE, Sarah meets regularly with some of our building’s highest-need and most at-risk students. She excels at building trusting relationships, offering a safe space, and ensuring students feel seen, heard, and supported — oftentimes in the only safe space they have.

Beyond her day-to-day work, Sara has taken the lead in revitalizing the FHS Food Pantry, coordinating with other FCS buildings and community partners to ensure reliable food delivery, bagging, and distribution. Her efforts provide vital support for students and families who are navigating difficult economic times, especially given recent changes in SNAP benefits.

Much of Sara’s work happens quietly and confidentially, but its positive impact reverberates throughout our entire school community.

Her colleagues describe her as:
💙 Genuine and deeply caring
💛 A committed listener for both staff and students
💙 A passionate advocate for students in need
💛 A steady source of comfort, connection, and compassion

Thank you, Sara, for your extraordinary dedication, your tireless effort, and your unwavering heart for our most vulnerable students and families. FHS is stronger because of you, and we are so grateful you’re part of our Trojan family! 💙💛
