Decided to create an official “Part Time Habit” artist page to begin sharing my art with family and friends. I’ve been creating music in some form or another, for over 25 years! I definitely slowed down for awhile but I’m getting back into it again, full throttle! I’m cookin’ up sounds and lyrics that are sure to break down genre walls! In my humble opinion, music is like the international language for everyone. If you hear a great song, with lyrics in a foreign language, you don’t need to speak that language to understand the vibe and emotion, you can feel it! Music is an artform, confining yourself to a specific genre is like telling a painter that they can only paint pictures using watercolor. It limits imagination and puts restrictions on what a musician can create. I do however, understand that most music artists thrive within specific styles of music and to that I say “to each their own”, maybe someday I’ll color inside those lines, but for now I’m just going to keep creating whatever makes me feel good, tap my toes, and bob my head! I have always gone by the name Part Time Habit, beginning back in the MySpace days when my little brother and I used to jam out around the camp fire! Music has always been a Part Time Habit of mine, and maybe someday I can change my name to “Full Time Dream”, but reality is sometimes a nasty bitch, and she tends to burst my bubble quite often, so I’m not holding my breath! 😂 I’ve also joined forces with two amazing artists, on a side project called “Candy Boyz”, alongside a couple O.G.’s in the music game: Señor Verde and G Knox. So I’ll be droppin’ tracks of many flavors, burnin the candle at both ends AND the sides!
