Meramec Station Rd at Smizer Mill Road is also open.
Please use caution in these areas as receding flood waters often leave behind debris and sediment that can affect how your vehicle drives (pretend it’s a test run for the sleet/snow/ice we’ll get this winter).

ST. LOUIS COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed the southbound Route 141 exit ramp to westbound Interstate 44 due to flooding from the Meramec River. This exit ramp is located just before the Route 141/Interstate 44 interchange which is currently closed also due to flooding.

At this time 141 is open but both flood gates and the road itself are expected to close at any moment so please use alternate routes. Note that Route W is closed to 44/Eureka, Route BB is closed, Route C closed, EE closed, AK is closed. Your possible thru routes include Bowles over 141 and back to NB 141, interstate 270 north.

⚠️EVACUATIONS - PACIFIC MO⚠️ IMMEDIATE ACTION!!

Given the flood forecast (which can be followed at Meramec River near Pacific) we will be encouraging all residents to evacuate their property and businesses to adjust/cease operations effective 06:00 AM Thursday,11/07/24. At that time, the river is expected to be 25.0 feet, when 1st St and Denton Road flood. The City plans to close roads south of the railroad tracks and Denton Road eastward. We are in contact with Ameren Missouri and Spire Energy regarding utility shutdown/ and subsequent recovery activity.

When the roads close, the City will open the Emergency Gate from the Jefferson St. Industrial Park (by Klance) for employee egress. Also, a temporary reconfiguring of Highway N for two-way traffic and the egress of Industrial Park employees via Candlewick Drive.

All Citizens are encouraged to prepare their property for flooding including raising or relocating belongings, sandbagging around the building, and other safety precautions. When packing, please remember your essential health and welfare items such as medicines, C-PAP or oxygen units, charges/batteries, and other required items. We expect flooding to start receding on Saturday morning but will not be below concerning levels until roughly Saturday night.

If you do not have a safe address to evacuate to, the Tri-County Community Senior Center, 800 W Union St. will be available effective Thursday 08:00AM on a 24x7 basis (if required) through Sunday. Additionally, Mission Community church, 2001 W Osage St. is available as follows: today 09:00AM to 7:30PM, Thursday and Friday 9AM to 5PM, and Saturday 8AM to 5PM. Please note that both are a “refuge center”, not an overnight shelter, i.e. no sleep accommodations (beds). Donations of bottled water will be accepted from those generous to offer.

Latest info has not changed. I-141 will CLOSE ENTIRELY sometime Thursday afternoon and remain closed possibly through Sunday. Many alternate routes such as M/W/109 will also be affected meaning the only routes around will be Bowles to get over 44 or I-270 and around. Expect other roads near the Meramec to be closed as well. EXPECT MAJOR TRAFFIC DELAYS SOUTH OF I-44!!!!

IMPORTANT: I-141 at 44 both directions is still expected to close overnight tonight into Thursday and into the weekend due to river flooding. The forecast on that has not changed however lanes are open today (Wednesday). Keep an eye on Gateway Guide for important updates. Many roads are still impacted by flooding. As water is dropping in some areas, it may be rising in others. Please don’t drive through flood waters.

The best place to find us is twitter.com/megarockradio. Facebook has throttled fan pages like ours so badly that they are close to useless anymore unless you want to fork out big bucks to FB. Since we don’t make any money doing this that’s just not an option. 36k people and on average now they let 6 - 20 people see any given post. Catch us on Twitter or our website megarockradio.net.
