OUT NOW: a new edition of Felix Mendelssohn's ALBUMBLATT [Album Leaf] for Bassoon and Piano, published by Recital Publications!
Dr. John Michael Cooper found this work -- an arrangement by Giuseppe Martucci of Mendelssohn's Albumblatt for piano, Op. posth. 117 -- during a research trip to Milan back in the year 2000, and fell in love with it at the time. He edited it immediately upon his return and got it performed a few times in the ensuing years, but never actually tried to publish it. Not long ago he happened upon it and decided that he really wanted to because it is a sweet and lovely piece. So here it is!
