We, the undersigned, call upon social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube to take immediate action to remove content and accounts associated with black identity terrorist cults that spread hate and misinformation, targeting vulnerable individuals and communities.
These cults, including the so-called black Indian ideologies, the Moorish American, the Hoteps, and the black Hebrew Israelites, have been identified as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center. They use online platforms to recruit and radicalize black youths, perpetuating division, and inciting violence within our communities.
The black Hebrew Israelites, for example, appropriate Biblical Jewish heritage and identity to promote a racist ideology that claims superiority over other races. They have been linked to violent incidents, such as the 2019 Jersey City shooting, where innocent lives were lost due to their extremist beliefs.
Similarly, the Nubian Nation, a Moorish and Hotep cult, was dismantled following the arrest of its founder, Malachi Dwight York, for heinous crimes including child s*xual abuse and s*x trafficking of minors. Despite these atrocities, remnants of this cult continue to operate online, spreading harmful ideologies.
The Moorish Science Temple of America and its offshoot, the Moorish Sovereign Citizens, promote anti-government sentiments and engage in fraudulent activities, posing a threat to law and order. Additionally, the Black Indian movement spreads false narratives about Native American history and identity, perpetuating racism against indigenous communities.
These groups use social media platforms to spread their toxic ideologies, denying historical atrocities like the transatlantic slave trade, erasing African-American history and achievements, and promoting racial division and violence. They must be stopped.
We urge social media platforms to:
Remove all content and accounts associated with black identity terrorist cults.
Implement stricter policies to prevent the spread of hate speech and misinformation.
Work with law enforcement and advocacy groups to identify and address radicalization online.
Provide resources and support for affected communities to counter radicalization efforts.
Join us in calling for action to protect our communities from the harmful influence of these hate groups. Sign this petition and stand against hate on social media.
