It's that time of year again. Our annual "IOS Big Christmas Show" is going to be December 15th at Farmington First, students building (just like last year). We want YOU to perform a Christmas song (up to 5 minutes). Get creative. Groups and solo performances welcome of all types. Sign-up opportunity is coming beginning of November. There'll be 2 separate shows to choose from - 2:00 OR 3:30.

No way, more videos on the way? FOR FREE? We've got a series of mandolin videos coming out in the next month that could last someone a whole year of gaining practical skills, what to practice, and steps to progress. Like it's said in the video, experience can't be given, it has to be earned with time - lots of time and diligence. You can be shown the way, but it's you who has to take the journey.

This Saturday from 8:00-3:00 is the Cane Hill Harvest Festival There'll be lots of great bands, as well as 2 student bands sponsored by HCH - The Boonsboro Bandits, and Raising Cane. We will be hosting and running the stage all day.

Coming up in just a few weeks is the Cane Hill Harvest Festival put on by the fine folks at Historic Cane Hill. Historic Cane Hill, among other things, sponsors a music program called Roots Music that we are proudly a part of. A couple of the bands from that program will be performing, alongside some other local talent. You should definitely bring the family out. There'll be lots to do and see. Hello friends! We are rockin,' and super excited for this Fall. We have some performance opportunities coming up, so mark your calendar. We want YOU to perform. Looking for artists or groups to play between 3-7 songs, so if you have a set you can prepare and play, we want to hear it! Let's get out there in the community, and shine a light.
Farmington Fall Festival: September 21. We will play the pavilion from 11:00-1:00 pm, or longer if needed.
Lincoln Apple Festival: October 4, 5 and 6. We'll be there all weekend, so artists could perform multiple times, or even longer sets!

It's not the walls that surround us that matters, it's the positive relationships and time spent with our students and families. We are determined to keep that our focus. Day one in our new space went just fine! We are looking forward to a fantastic summer.

Starting this week, just pass the old location and find us at the end of Southwinds Rd at the . Just come on in the Southwinds entrance, and you can hang in the lobby or in the sanctuary. As always, parents are welcome wherever they'd like to be as it relates to their child. They can be in the room, outside the room, in the lobby, Wal-Mart run, wherever. We can't wait to see you. It's going to be a FANTASTIC summer!

We are wanting to send a note of thanks to the community for their kindness and support during this time of losing our current studio space. As a lot of people know, our rent is going up over 50% come June and we are without a home (Sosa Properties in Springdale). We are actively looking for a space to call our own. Ideally we need at least 8 teaching rooms, plus a stage/band rehearsal space - and bonus, some windows!!
We try to keep our prices reasonable, and in return we have to keep our overhead low, so this is a major issue as we look at what's available.
Dreaming big here, but we believe this community is ready for a community center of some kind. Imagine community theater, dance, art, even culinary adventures, and music all in one community space.
The support we've received has been so appreciated. If you have ideas on how to support such an adventure, or know of a reasonable space we could call home, please reach out. Thanks again. We hope to be in this community for a long time. Come June, we will temporarily be in the United Methodist Church in Farmington, as they have kindly welcomed us to use their space.

Wow.. can't believe this post is happening. After 14 years in this building, Sosa Properties is pushing us out and raising our rent 50%. This just isn't doable. We a local church that is offering for us to teach there for the time being, come June 1. We are sticking with it and committed to our positive relationships with our students and families, as well as continuing to offer quality music lessons and artist development. Thank you, NW Arkansas, for your incredible support.
