Atomic Music is one of the best, no it is the best place to find things that you want, have to have, or when you are at the store do you find something else entirely different that just grabs you and you instantly fall in love with. It has happened to me so many times I can think of at least 10 guitars that I have bought because I never expected to see one of these there. They have one of the most diverse selections of every kind of instrument and quality player guitars to Vintage Classics to entry-level player guitars that really can play at such a bargain price compared to the Guitar Center franchise. If you go to the store and it’s so easy to find right at route one and the beltway a couple miles north of the beltway on the right if you go there tell them that Richard Gibson from Barco Rebar sent you.  Over the years I know of many people that have told me right when they fiwere read y to check out that oh Richard from Barco sent me here to check out your store and they ended up getting an even better deal. And you must go and visit Atomic Music. Ask for Luis or Eric. But anybody there will help you and treat you with w respect. Open on Sundays too!!

Trivia question first: What year did the Gibson SG Standard come with the standard stop tail piece and ABR bridge?

Now check out this Gibson Custom Shop re-issue of my favorite guitars, 1964 Gibson SG.  This is in my opinion the best year of the Gibson SG because it has a big neck for those of you that I like the late 50s Gibson big necks. This is not as big but it does come close and has the wide 1-11/16” fingerboard. The 1961-1963 have thin fast neck. And in 1965 the guitar gets changed quite a bit. I think the extra wood in the neck makes the guitar sound better and to me it feels perfect. But that is my opinion if you have ever picked up an SG and thought it was a little fragile or to thin, try the 1964 and your opinions will change I can’t wait to take a look at this guitar. If you go to.Action Music, tell them that Richard from Barco Rebar Rehearsal Space sent you and ask for 10% off on a set of guitar string’s or ask for 10% off you session at Barco Rebar Rehearsal Space. Action Music is the only guitar store in the DC Area that matters and the customer service is great. Guy is great to work, being the guy that know everything even if he a new guy at the store. Everytime I go there, Guy is so helpful and I just can’t help liking the guy. And he is the guy to ask for the 10% sting discount too. And Guy really isn’t even that much a new guy anymore.

Last month was unofficially our 30th year doing Barco. (I honestly don't remember the first practice.) We signed the lease mid month, then built, then rocked! Hard to believe it has been 30 years. It still seems like yesterday.

We've had regular bands, wedding bands, cover bands, professional cover bands, people that just come in to drill, live streams, and recordings done at Barco.

Thanks for helping to keep Barco alive all these years.

My Band mate in Spitfires United Kent Stacks is one of the good guys and he was dealt a bad hand. Cancer. Come out to see him and who else will be there, all them 80's Punkers?
