In honor of Lois Melbourne's struggle with breast cancer this year and how broken our medical care system is, HigherHill Studios is a sponsor of this year's Drummathon 2023 where we are raising money to encourage access to mammograms for people who otherwise might go without this precious and important test. I get my mammogram in 2 weeks. What about you?

Taylor Swift won the 2023 Innovator Award from iHeart Radio last night. “You HAVE to give yourself permission to fail.” This is a key piece of advice for anyone who wants to innovate and perfect Women’s History Month. Taylor shows incredible leadership to her fan base by encouraging them to find their own voice. Congratulations to Taylor and to iHeart Radio for celebrating innovation.

It’s already an exciting year in music for us listeners! Q***r indie supergroup boygenius is unexpectedly back with three singles and an album announcement for March called “The Record.” Elle King’s newest album “Come Get Your Wife” releases this Friday, and everyone’s favorite early 2000s MySpace trio Paramore is back together and better than ever with their new album “This Is Why” coming out next month.

We could speak for days on end about workplace burnout for women, especially if they are in positions of power. Jacinda Ardern lead New Zealand with compassion and strength, overcoming endless hurdles with grace and poise. Following her announcement of resignation, we would like to highlight her many accomplishments as the youngest head of state in the world. We applaud her for being a leading example of when to choose to put yourself first.
