Day Four of "Thanksgiving in the Smokeys": Mama's Farmhouse

If you're looking for the "Best Southern Country Cookin' in the Smokeys," stop at Mama's Farmhouse. We enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, served family-style today, and it did not disappoint. The menu included turkey, dressing, ham, mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, and more.

They have a sign on the kitchen entrance that says," Through this door pass the best restaurant people in Sevier County," and based on our multiple trips here over the years, we're inclined to agree. The staff at Mama's are genuinely wonderful people who always have smiles on their faces. On what is arguably their busiest day of the year, they work as a cohesive team, delivering table after table of Thanksgiving goodness to the thousands of patrons they serve. Of course, we'd be remiss if we didn't give a shoutout to our own fantastic server, Dee. She kept us laughing and never missed a beat during our visit.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, a meal at Mama's Farmhouse feels like coming home to a holiday feast any day of the year. And don't forget to save room for dessert—their award-winning pies are the perfect way to cap off a hearty meal. Make sure Mama's Farmhouse is on your list when visiting Pigeon Forge; It's a loving embrace that reflects the warmth of the Smokey Mountains!

Day Two, Stop Two: Blue Moose Burgers & Wings

The Blue Moose has been a popular spot in Pigeon Forge for several years, and there are often long lines. However, we were lucky this week and timed our visit perfectly, arriving about 20 minutes before the dinner rush. Located at 2430 Teaster Lane, it's a casual, family-friendly spot with a sports bar feel. It had a TV at every table and was the perfect place to catch the Maui Invitational semi-finals.

It’s easy to see why Blue Moose is a family favorite. Great food, a fun atmosphere, and sports galore—what more could you ask for in a dining experience? If you find yourself in Pigeon Forge, don’t miss out on this gem.

Day two of "Thanksgiving in the Smokey's" was filled with burgers, pizza, wings, and even some unexpected sloppy joe goodness. (We were just as surprised, but it was remarkable nonetheless.)

So here's a look at stop #1: The Sloppy Hog Burger Joint

In an effort to avoid the 90+ minute lines at restaurants on the Parkway, we took a nice little drive to nearby Wears Valley. There, we found this ultimate roadside stop with a fantastic mountainside view.

With a name like the Sloppy Hog, you might think their specialty would be some form of BBQ, right? Nope. They're slinging some pretty tasty beef in their burgers, pizzas, and, much to our surprise, a seriously awesome signature Sloppy Joe!

The Sloppy Hog is no ordinary pitstop. They've got the perfect recipe to make you want to pull up a chair, enjoy the view, and stay awhile.

We kicked off our ‘Thanksgiving in the Smokies’ week with a delightful dinner at one of Sevierville’s newest culinary destinations, Roma Table. As part of the Collier Restaurant Group, Roma Table offers an elevated Italian dining experience right in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. The menu boasts a tempting array of stone hearth-baked pizzas, handmade pasta, and classic Italian entrées that promise to transport your taste buds straight to Italy.
