First off, Ss/O to .Hutchinson for the book.

During the Golden Age of Comics, Will Eisner's masterpiece "The Spirit", was introduced. It ran for 12 years, from 1940 to 1952. Many who pick it up remark how the stories hold up, even after all these years.
To give you a little background info, the Comic Book industry has grown and evolved into the beautiful, multifaceted artform that it is today. That, however, like with most artforms, was not always the case.
Eisner was a pioneer, a cartoonist who saw comics as more than just a page filler for newpapers. He is often credited with popularizing the term 'graphic novel' with his book "A Contract with God". His works proved so influential that he is honored to this day with an award ceremony baring his name that recognizes artists who excell at the craft.
Every part of this man's story makes me want to read this man's stories. So, Im taking a break from Modern Age comics and Manga, and reading a classic, Will Eisner's "The Spirit".
