Go Gators! in Ghana 🇬🇭 👏🏾

Last week, during my very brief and limited Chief Digital Officer delegation (while my fearless leader Dario Bianchi was in Dubai ✈️), my team and I welcomed Computer Engineering Students from University of Florida CISE 🐊 🇺🇸 where I did my undergrad, to the MTN Ghana HQ at Independence Avenue, Accra.

It was a joy to connect with Dr. Sanethia Thomas, PhD (thanks for the intro Dr. Jeremy Waisome, Ph.D.) and shared memories of hooping 🏀 with Cameron 'Scooter' Magruder, Jeremy’s younger brother at the Florida Gym courts back in the day. Time truly flies! We won back to back National Championships in Basketball and Football. What a time to be alive 🤩

Big shout out to David, Estelle, Cynthia, Vanessa, Daniel, Kwame, Gloria for engaging, asking questions and sharing our apps ecosystem in Ghana’s context with fellow Gators 🐊

Fun Fact: UF is looking to create an AI Center on the path of becoming a fully enabled AI University.
