Therese (Tess) Connolly LCSW, CCC, is a Parent Coach for parents of tweens and teens, Psychotherapist for tweens/teens, and host of The Parenting Reset Show Podcast, along with being an all around incredible human. She’ll be holding The Conscious Moms Collective in the studio on Sunday, December 18th. 😍 Very excited that this may be a regular offering at Sol Rising. ☀️

Two hundred years after Jan Purkinje documented the physiological properties of ganzflicker, scientists still do not have a definitive explanation for how it works. A recent theory proposes that visual phenomena may be the result of interactions between external flicker and the brain’s natural rhythmic electrical pulses, with more intense images manifesting when the frequencies of flicker and the brain are closest.

It is also likely that a strong visual flicker influences brain states. Meaningful visions, altered conscious states and heightened emotions may be the result of imaginative suggestion, which is amplified by the trance-inducing properties of rhythmic stimulation.

Engineers, mathematicians, artists, historians and scientists have all been united by this modest, drug-free means of eliciting dramatic changes in consciousness. Hiiiiiii ☺️ It’s been a minute!! After a longer than expected hiatus I’m finally getting back into my sweet Light studio. Sold my house which was a huge undertaking, moved into a temporary rental that was challenging in way too many unforeseen ways, bought a camper van 🚐, went to my 16th Burning Man 🔥 and brought my 13 year old daughter for her first time, then came home and moved into a longer term rental which we adore and we’re honestly very relieved… all this since May. When I say I was heeding the call of the Universe my family just thinks I’m nuts, but here we are… exactly where we need to be 😂 After 4 light sessions in the last week I’m ready to open up my books again. Anyone feeling the call of the Lucia No3, let me know ✨ I miss seeing you all!! I want to know what’s real for you right now. I want to reconnect with life other than moving through my own transitions and portals. The studio has changed a lot, and I’m proud to say that even while I haven’t been in here much that healing and transformative experiences have been occurring through the profound work of three incredible practitioners - more info to come very soon!! The Wellness Studio I envisioned is coming to life, and this space is about to finally fully launch, new name and all. Took me long enough. As my amazing astrologer says, I’m in my window… it will happen. Ha. Come see me!! 💫

It's been quiet over here as I've been going through some profound healings, both emotionally and physically, over the last couple of months. I've observed in many that I am not alone ☺️ Raise your hand if you've been experiencing deep movement in your life too 🙋🏻‍♀️ As we come out of the darker shorter days of winter and enter into sacred Imbolc and the return of the Sun, I invite you to come in for a Lucia Light session to awaken your inner light and life force and help soothe the nervous system from all of the things that have been swirling in our fields.

Lastly, I've been working on finalizing my rename and rebrand and am so antsy to launch, and yet I've been honoring my personal healing journey taking much needed priority. I've had to remind myself that it's okay not to be ready when I thought I'd be and that all will unfold to the rest of the world when it's right and I know in my soul that it's time. I can tell you though that it's very close, and I'm so excited to share it with you all and announce my new offerings and studio vibe. Stay tuned ✴️

Huge shout out to for my incredibly powerful custom made talisman. Having stepped into the work of being a space holder I found that sometimes I have doubt about my worthiness to do so. Akasha felt into my spirit, my energy, my guides and pulled through the messages I needed to hear and know, as well as seeing the beautiful design and colors… the words, “Trust Yourself”, are now what I hear, feel and know deeply every time I adorn myself with this powerful piece and I’m able to step into my work with confidence. If ever there are days where I am questioning and asking who am I to do the work of a light guide, I know that the medicine in this talisman will remind me of my worth and intention.
