MEET THIS WEEKS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT, FIONA GIBBENS!

-Fiona is a double majoring in journalism and cinema
-She is from San Rafael, California
-Fiona joined Duck TV fall of 2020
-She really wanted to get involved on campus because she didn’t do anything my freshman year. Fiona joined Duck TV and worked on a creative show, and started working on the social media team and loved it
-Fiona’s role at duck tv is to manage six amazing social media teams with co-director Eva Tate and post content on five duck tv social media accounts
-Her favorite part of Duck TV is posting all of the content the teams make and getting to see the different posts
-Fiona’s advice would be to get involved with as much as you can on campus. There is so many different groups or clubs you can join that can help you figure out what you want to do after college!

Meet this week's alumni spotlight, Elizabeth Salathe!

💛 Elizabeth graduated from the UO graduated June 2021!

💛 During her sophomore year, she transferred to UO, making Duck TV a community for her at Oregon, one that allowed her to explore my creative passions and helped her identify her interest in PR. Elizabeth is grateful to have learned, been challenged, and made lifelong memories.

💛 Elizabeth said that "Duck TV helped me learn the basics of PR and how to collaborate as a team. Having this experience under my belt, I was able to reach out to connections made through the weekly DuckTV guest speakers. These connections were so essential to landing jobs after college and widening my professional and personal network."

💛 Currently, she is am Interning with WE Communications. Elizabeth works on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 team and is living in Portland! She did a summer internship in Barcelona, Spain, and hopes to be hired as a full-time employee with WE after her internship.

💛 One tip she would like to pass on is to start exploring your passion within PR through related experiences. We miss you, Elizabeth!

MEET SABRINA ORTEGA!!!

Sabrina is a sports producer for DuckTV and has been involved with us since her Freshmen year. She originally joined DuckTV to gain experience in broadcast sports reporting.

Sabrina is from Whittier, CA and is a major Dodgers fan. She is majoring in journalism with a political science minor.

Her favorite part of DuckTV has been becoming a producer and learning the behind the scenes of how to produce a show.

Thank you Sabrina for all the effort and hard work you put into DuckTV!

MEET KENZIE HUDLER
Kenzie Hudler graduated from the UO recently. During her time there she juggled DuckTV, Firm Director of Allen Hall PR and being a social media writing assistant for the UO Libraries. She was also apart of the Clark Honors College and the SOJC Honors Program.

She now works for Team Lewis a global PR and digital marketing company. They specializes in creative digital ad integrated marketing services. She helps with marketing research, social media content, marketing, influencer marketing and the digital team.

She loves working for this company because they are committed to diversity, focused on people over the process and it is a great work environment and balances with her life.

Her biggest tips are to get as much real world experience as you can and HAVE FUN!!!
