Daily reminder....This message is needed now more than ever for ALL of us. As we go into 2022 facing the same challenges as in the past 2 years, it's so important to remember that there is a light at the end of this tunnel. The feelings we had and have are not permanent: we WILL be so much the better for it if we have faith in the process of life. Ask for wisdom, courage and patience and believe that 'this too shall pass'.❤💯🙏

Daily reminder....Life won't always be happy-go-lucky. There will be times when we're thrown those curve balls-- no one is immune, no matter our station or lot in life. Otherwise known as life lessons, they are meant to teach, to learn, to grow.

Chasing happiness by avoiding the 'unhappy' times is a delusion we can't afford to entertain. Facing those hardshps allows us to become our most authentic selves.

Daily reminder....By nature, humans are programmed to seek pleasure. But life is a mix of pleasure and pain. That pain is a cue that we need to fix something, if it is within our control. Doing so will bring more joy but ignoring it keeps us in a constant state of angst and frustration.

Personally, I'm all for facing those kinds of challenges head on because I know that pure joy waits for me on the other side. How about you? Do you run from or towards the fire?❤💯🙏

What a weekend I had! The first weekend of our donations for the Sole to Soul Project (Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner Project) happened with decent weather and a Duck Game. Did either of those affect the amount of donations we received? Not sure but it was a slow start to our ask. We got a dozen cans of cranberry sauce and some cash. Not stellar by any measure. So here goes......

The balloon has gone up; the troops have landed. We are honing in on T-day and quite frankly, we need TURKEYS! I know I asked y'all to bring them to our Foodbank on Bailey Hill, 1pm-3pm, this weekend (Nov 20/21), but I'm nervous as hell that come Sunday I'll have to scramble for birds! For those who are local, we'll take any size you can find. We have 36 families ranging from 1-20 per household. If you live out of the area and want to support our mission, VENMO me -auth100. THANK YOU to all who answered the call already--your generosity goes a LONG way to putting food on the table for these men/women who have served and their families. We've got some surprises for the kids as well who range in age from 1yr- 18yrs. Some lost their homes in the Blue River fire here in OR, others are living in less than stellar situations due to life circumstances.

I'm ready to cook so give me something to prepare. THANK YOU, in advance, for answering the call and providing these Veterans with a FULLY cooked Thanksgiving meal that we will all be enjoying on a day worthy of many blessings.

“SOLE to SOUL”
The 6th Annual Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner Project

ALMA CATERING, OREGON BARTENDERS, &
The McKenzie Jeepers Club
have teamed up to provide FULLY cooked meals
to 35 Lane County Veterans & their families on Thanksgiving Day.
The meals will be personally delivered to each home and will contain instructions on how to reheat.

Donations for turkeys, cans of cranberry sauce, rolls, pies are being accepted at Food for Lane Co on Bailey Hill Rd on Nov 13th/14th and Nov 20th/21st from 1pm-3pm.
Cash donations (VENMO acct is -auth100), gift cards, or non-food items are also greatly appreciated.
