Happy birthday to Hangar Party Aviation’s OG Cub-kid!
He tells the CFIs what *they* are doing wrong.
Has more tailwheel time than most influencers.
Actually knows the right way to enter and fly a traffic pattern.
Will call you out on your BS and he’s usually right.
Wakes up earlier than you for a dawn-patrol
Doesn’t need an iPad, G1000, or GPS to fly to breakfast.

Since our last “Flying a perfectly trimmed airplane” reel got so many questions: In many tailwheel aircraft, including J3 cubs, the pilot sits in the rear seat. This is for optimal weight distribution, keeping the airplane’s center of gravity within limits. Visibility is actually better from the rear seat as you have a wider field of view. So now if someone remarks “OMG! Where’s the pilot!” you’ll have the answer!
