It's Allan again. Just a note for drivers:

PENNDOT has temporarily reduced the speed limit on several interstates due to the winter weather conditions.

Speeds have been reduce reduced to 45 mph on:

Interstate 79 from the beginning of I-79 in Erie County to Exit 166 (Route 6N/Edinboro/Albion)

Interstate 86 from beginning of I-86 to the New York state line

Interstate 90 from the Ohio state line to the New York state line

On roadways with speed restrictions, commercial vehicles not affected by restrictions on these or other roadways must move to the right lane.

PennDOT is asking drivers to avoid unnecessary travel.

Which is fine, because even as a longtime turkey fan, I'm now craving PIZZA. How about you?

Hey, it’s Allan. Happy Thanksgiving Y’all! I recently found out that I have seven ancestors (including my 11th and 12th great-grandfathers) who made the perilous journey to the New World on the Mayflower.

But if I ever make the return journey across the Atlantic, the vessel better have a full buffet and a swim-up bar. Times have changed, pilgrim.
