Here we come State! Lyric Hill, Kobe Brown and Brianna DeVere are headed to the OESL Finals for Smash Bros Brawls.

The 3 won the Riversport Open Qualifier on December 1st to qualify as the 9th seeded team out of 32 competing for the OESL State Title on December 9th in Tulsa at the UMAC.

Just and FYI that the EHS eSports coaches will be at the Enid Comic Con at the Stride Bank Center August 5th (only) for a meet and greet and some Smash Bro's for people to play.

The last 4 years as the coach and director for Enid Public Schools esports program have been the most rewarding and humbling years I've had in a long while. With this graduating class, my time at Enid is complete.

I'm proud of these young adults as they embark on their next journeys. You will all go far and do big things.

After some hard-fought battles, Union ultimately came out on top, winning 4-1 over Enid's JV Overwatch team.

Enid officially ranks 2nd place for the inaugural JV season in the Oklahoma Esports League. It is a well-deserved placement, and as their coach I am proud of them.

Be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for playoff news, which is happening this Saturday, April 29th, at Tulsa Union Freshman Academy!

April 29th is quickly approaching!

The Oklahoma E-Sports League's Spring playoffs will see plenty of Enid representation!

- Waller and Emerson Middle Schools will be both bringing 5 players to compete in Smash Brothers Ultimate
- Enid High School will be bringing Jaden Hokanson to compete for the varsity title in Beat Saber

Spectators are welcome to come view and cheer our players on! It's located at the Tulsa Union Freshman Academy, doors open at 9:30.

Fantastic competition happening at EHS!

Juniors Jaden Hokanson and Justin Wiederkehr competed in a quarterfinals match to see which would advance to semi-finals at Tulsa Union on April 29th.

After a fantastic and tough best-of-5 series, Jaden has advanced!

Congrats to Justin for his 4th place placement, it was definitely well earned!

Jaden will have tough competition in Tulsa; the two players he will have to compete are from Sulphur and Poteau. Good luck in Tulsa!

Playoff news:

Enid Varsity & Junior Varsity Overwatch teams both advanced in their playoff brackets.

- Junior Varsity will be playing Tahlequah
- Varsity will be playing Salina

Also, our Varsity Apex Legends team will be participating in a playoffs match to qualify for the final round. Apex is being played Battle Royale with 14 teams in the lobby; Lots of competition, lots of great gameplay.

The Beat Saber players will also be playing their rounds looking to advance!

On Saturday, April 29th, the OeSL playoffs will kick off. More info will be released soon, but for now here is the bracket for the middle school Smash Brothers players! 5 Emerson and 5 Waller students will compete against 46 other players for the title!

The playoffs will be held at the Tulsa Union Freshman Academy, and they are free for spectators, so mark your calendars to come and cheer on our players!

After a fantastic season, our Rocket League team has been knocked from the playoff bracket by Edmond Memorial. Out of the 41 teams in the league, we officially placed 8th.

I'm proud of these hard working players, they've done a fantastic job this year, and have always shown true integrity and sportsmanship when playing. Good job Plainsmen!

Today we played games with Oklahoma Scholastic Esports and had some great outcomes!

Our Fortnite team went 2-0 going up against both Commerce and Duke, while our Overwatch 2 team won over Fairview 2-0. Sadly a few games were forfeited by the other teams, so the day was cut short.

Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Yesterday's State Grand Finals matchup vs. Cache was amazing, some of the best gameplay one could hope for. Sadly, Enid was defeated after 2-Best of 3 rounds, and officially placed 2nd.

While we would have loved the first place spot, Cache played phenomenally and deserved it. Congrats to them, and congrats to our players for placing 2nd!

We had a fantastic time at the OeSL playoffs! Our high school Smash team sadly didn't qualify, however all 3 middle schools placed:

-- Longfellow placed 3rd in Rocket League
-- Waller placed 1st in Rocket League
-- Emerson placed first in Smash Duos

As a district we collectively won the most placements in the league this season! A huge congrats to the middle schools and their teams!

It's been a heck of a season, but we have some fantastic news for everyone!

As of this week, we officially have 34 students across the district headed to State across the following teams:

EHS: 1 Smash Bros team, Paladins, and Rainbow 6: Siege
Emerson Middle School: 4 Smash Bros teams
Longfellow Middle School: 1 Rocket League Team
Waller Middle School: 1 Rocket League team & 4 Smash Bros teams

State for the Smash Bros team and middle school Rocket League teams is this Saturday in Tulsa at UMAC. The event is free to enter and watch, so if you are wanting to support the students at EPS please do! Doors open at 10a for spectators.

State for Paladins is in Clinton on Dec. 16th, and Rainbow 6: Siege in Clinton on Dec. 17th.
