During the broadcast today for 32, and I had a moment where we couldn’t help but reflect on the crazy, dumb, stupidly awesome life we get to live doing what we do.

Today, we saw gritty wars and we saw tactical human chess matches. We saw highlight reel KOs and down to the wire decisions.

Thank you to the people who came out today and supported the show. It was a packed house and the energy from all the camps was noticeable. It’s a weekend with two other fight cards in Colorado, so to have that level of support and people in attendance, we thank you.

True grit 💯

If this was the last trip to the octagon for The Diamond, how will his legacy be remembered?

For me, is undoubtedly one of the greatest fighters, if not the greatest, to never win an undisputed UFC title. When you look at his resume, it is years of nothing but champions, future/former champions, top contenders, and hall of famers. In fact, you have to go all the way back to 2016 (Joe Duffy; 14-1 at the time) to find a guy who wasn’t at the top of the food chain.

After his performance last night, Dustin clearly still has plenty of fight left in the tank, but getting back to another title shot would be a grind in the preparation department that he says he isn’t sure he wants to do again. The time put in, the sacrifices, the missed experiences as a dad and husband.

Physically, he’s still there. Mentally, he had one foot out the door before the fight started just by hinting at retirement. With that being said, do we ever see Dustin fight in the UFC again?

Shoutout to my brother from another mother for picking up a dominant RD 1 TKO last night!

Story time:
5 years ago, Jesse never thought he’d be the man in the arena. Real talk.

He made the trip to Denver for LFA 57 (during a crazy snow storm, shocker). He got to see the gym and a bunch of high level fighters during the day, then saw what pre-fight shakeouts in MMA look like.

We went and got coffee on the way to the venue with who just so happens to be one of the greatest photographers ever in the fight game. Travel in the storm must’ve been rough because JLew fell asleep at the table.

Flash forward a couple hours into the fights, he was asked if he’d ever get in there, to which he said ‘hell no!’… but the seed was planted.

Within a few months, he started training Muay Thai. After a couple years of training, he’s now got half a dozen fights worth of experience under his belt in both single fight and tournament style fights. He’s overcome injuries and learned how to bounce back from a loss. He’s figuring out how to truly win fight and not just be an athlete (former pro football player).

When you hear me tell my story and say that I had great friends who gave me the courage to take a leap and start the journey I’m on, this is one of those great friends.

Not a lot of people can say that they have people in their foxhole who would hop on a plane and fly anywhere in the world at the drop of a hat if you needed help… Jesse would and has.

Ride or die, love ya dawg! Enjoy the sweet nectar of victory, you EARNED it!

About last night…

22 was a blast. We were in a new venue and we packed the house for a sold out show. We also debuted on a new streaming platform and had the broadcast view on a Jumbotron video screen to enhance the audience’s in-house experience.

We sincerely thank you for your support of our show and the fight community as a whole. Colorado is such a hotbed for high-level talent and on any given local show, you are literally watching the stars of tomorrow. There will absolutely be fighters who fought last night that you will one day see scrapping on the big stage.

Thank you all who came to the show or watched online. We appreciate your support and we will continue to do our best to keep delivering a quality product.

Thank you to all the fighters, camps, and their support systems. Thank you to our creatives, production crew, and operations staff. Thank you to our brass for the opportunity to do what we love.

The series was a hit and the finale fight between Forrest Griffin and the late Stephan Bonnar literally saved the company when a deal for season 2 was made in the back following that fight.

I’m so grateful for our entire staff and crew. Getting to be a part of Colorado’s only all Muay Thai promotion is pretty damn cool. We had a lot of adversity coming into this show today and lost a couple fights last minute, but the show went on and the action absolutely delivered.

Thank you to everyone who tuned in throughout the year to listen to and I on the call and thank you to everyone who came out live in-person to support the fighters and show.

We will be back Q1 2024 and already have a couple of ISKA title fights lined up!
