We had the honor to work with our country's finest on a beautiful project. Thank you for your service and the chance to participate in history.

Committee preparations for the Commissioning is in high gear! Among other gifts, The Committee will be presenting silver plank owner coins to each crew member. Also in addition to the Navy's program, through the generous efforts of Morton Publishing Company, the Committee has produced a commemorative booklet for the crew and sponsors describing the boats milestones and the crew visits to Colorado. The picture below is the final proof before printing.

Another traditional item produced for Commissioning is a Naval Cover. There are commemorative envelopes which will have a cancellation date of the commissioning. For more about Naval Covers see http://www.uscs.org/cover-collecting/what-are-covers/ . Since submarines do not have their own post offices like surface ships, the cancellation will be by the Submarine Base
