This was a wedding unlike any wedding I’ve ever shot and edited. It took me nearly a year to post this video for selfish reasons because it brought back some pain I wasn’t facing about losing my own dad a few years back.
This wedding took place in Kauai at @naainakai_gardens and it was such an incredible day with great people. @ashie_dove and @kylethecrag both have amazing families and I was honored to get to spend the day with them. The wedding during the reception ended in tragedy when Ashley’s father collapsed, was taken to the hospital and passed away that evening. As the ambulance and family members left the venue, there was the most intense silence as we mourned what took place and our sorrow for the Davis family.
If there’s any bright side to this sad story is that Dan spent his last day on Earth with those he loved most and who loved him most. The way this family approached all this was nothing short of amazing. You’re continually in my thoughts and prayers.

Kade was larger than life. The world truly lost a giant and this past week was proof of that. So many people gathered in Kade’s name who were all touched by his love, kindness, confidence, wit and contagious laugh. It was definitely sad but also felt like an amazing celebration of life and how we’re all connected.

Always fun doing a video on a subject I have very little experience and banking is at the top. It was fun and challenging to do this one for Cache Valley Bank. Always rad to team up with the @bondir.co crew and see such high level creativity. This whole process of coming up with the idea, planning, script, hiring VO, finding music, story boarding, hiring talent, filming, editing and all the communication with the client is usually something I do solo. I love seeing something come together where multiple minds were involved and you can create something very different than if you were alone.

Fun morning filming this amazing scenery! I live downtown and can be on these trails in ten minutes. Filming an area deepens my relationship to that place whether it’s good or bad depending on the place. Filming more in Southern Utah has given me such an appreciation for how unique this place is. Still one of my favorite time-lapses I’ve shot. Not just because I think it looks cool but because of the shoot I was on with @beoutfitter @tavishcalico and @_benchristensen. We had such a good time. I was sick as hell the whole time but the amazing scenery in Alabama Hills, CA, hanging with amazing people and the work we created from this shoot that I’m really proud of made it all worth it!
