10pm-4am: America at Night WEOL AM 930 & 100.3 FM is based in north-central Ohio with studios in downtown Elyria and transmitter in Grafton. WEOL was the first radio station in Lorain County, signing on-the-air on October 17, 1948, owned by the newly created Ely
ria-Lorain Broadcasting Company. On May 15, 1958, ELBC was purchased by the Lorain County Printing and Publishing Company, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Among the on-air personalities during the early days of AM 930; Dick Conrad, Ronnie Barrett, and Neil Zurcher. Through the years, WEOL played music of different varieties until November 28, 1997 when the format moved to news, sports and talk. Today’s line-up includes The WEOL Morning show with Bruce Van D**e and Craig Adams, syndicated talk with Dave Ramsey, Dr. Daliah, Doug Gottlieb and his friends at Fox Sports, and Jim Bohannon. Sports affiliations include the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Fox Sports Radio. Today’s line-up also features the most local play-by-play sports in the region including high school football, basketball, baseball and softball.
