The Story of Wolf & Doug
A. Wolf Mearns and Douglas L. VanSant Jr. met in the in 2013 in Philadelphia. Wolf had just completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts for Film & Digital Video from University of The Arts and Doug was working his BA in Political Science from Temple University.
They met through mutual friends and eventually stuck up their own friendship. They even started working at the same restaurant (Revolution House: a restaurant/lounge in the Olde City district of Philly). Doug was a spikey-haired, quick-witted bartender. Wolf was a charming, even-tempered food runner with a broken foot who hobbled table to table each night with hot plates of mediocre American Fare.
The post-shift beer would often include conversations about wanting more. Wolf and Doug dreamed of living creative lives. They would “Urban Explore”. They’d scale up the sides of tall city buildings just to see the world from another perspective. They’d take pictures. They’d make short movies. They said agreed that “one day they’d move to California and open a studio.”
In January of 2020, 8 years after Revolution House, spikey hair and a broken foot, Wolf and Doug launched Tracker Studios. A pro-grade, full-function production studio dedicated to providing high-quality, cinematic video, sound engineering and graphic design. Just like the Buildings in Philly, Wolf and Doug still climb to find that beautiful view, to reach that magic perspective, to tell your story from the perfect angle, to celebrate the art of your existence.
