💔 The Irish Dance community has lost a true legend. Darren Maguire, beloved teacher, adjudicator, and former Riverdance lead, has passed away at the age of 50. Known for his extraordinary talent, unwavering dedication, and ability to inspire everyone he met, Darren's legacy will continue to shine in the lives of those he touched.

A one hour special highlights programme of the All Ireland Senior Céilí Bands competition at the Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford will be screened on TG4 on Sunday 12th January 2025 at 9:30pm.

The programme, presented by TG4's Fiona Ní Fhlaithearta, will feature performances from all 10 participating bands as well as behind the scenes footage and interviews with band members. Céilí bands competed from Ireland, England and Scotland in front of an audience of 1,800 at The Dome in Wexford and the competition was won by first-time winners the Beartla Ó Flatharta Céilí Band from Leixlip in County Kildare, with Glór na dTonn from Mayo in second and the Drombeg Céilí Band from Cork in third.
