Winter is on its way — make sure you know when the school district announces a 2-hour delayed start or must close for inclement weather. Current USD 327 families and staff will receive a text message. These announcements are also shared on the district page, KWCH 12, KSN 3, KAKE 10 and KSAL/KY-94 radio.

Yet at the I-R, we remain committed to local news.

On Monday, we will mail out more than 5,500 newspapers to every household in Ellsworth County. This, our annual county-wide edition is our effort to provide local news to all.

Additionally, starting Monday morning, our website will be unlocked (no paywall) for 1 week.

We will be running some subscription specials around Thanksgiving, and hope you will consider subscribing to support local journalism.
