Just check out this haunting pedal steel guitar... sooo may good things about "Once a Time of May" - but the start really sets the tone.

This is the last part of our '23 Artist Series - again grateful for all involved. In addition to showcasing this group of songs, these last 5 videos hopefully show you a look at what recording in LiveEdge may be like. Artist spotlight still on Nom De Plume today :)

Recording and mixing this was a joy. Really fit into the talent-in talent-out category with how easy it came together. Aris Karabelas brought a great song, a vision of what he wanted and a smooth, purposeful intent to all parts of it. Although Aris played acoustic & electric guitars and bass on this one,there were others involved. Started with building a track with one of our studio drummers Garrett (who put together a great track at his place) then he added Abbey on backing vocals (nailing 3 parts). What really set the mood on this was Dave Hadley on pedal steel guitar. Everyone sitting in the control room and hearing the first haunting notes come through all shared knowing huge smiles and an expression of WOW. Sharing a screenshot of my Logic Pro X template to show how little was actually needed on this one.

"Once a Time of May" is already getting a lot of good attention...
