Hello, my name is Kimberly Wallace. I’m the owner and creative at The Chalked Trunk. I have always been a crafter and DIY enthusiast. I like to attend Vintage Markets and I like to decorate by upcycling and repurposing, mixing old with new. Above all, I LOVE painting furniture! I started by finding and painting pieces for my own home because I could never find what I liked in retail stores. Not to mention, the prices were over the top! There is so much character and durability in a vintage piece of furniture, and finding outdated, solid wood pieces to paint is just a bigger palette for me to create something beautiful. As I continue to follow my passion, I am inspired by new painting techniques and color choices. There is so much satisfaction knowing that each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation!
New in 2020! I recently acquired shop space and am selling furniture and home decor’ at “Vintage Soul” in Old Town Elk Grove (9084 Elk Grove, Blvd., Elk Grove, CA). It’s a shop with a mix of old and new where you can find vintage, farmhouse and shabby chic decor and more! I am also proud to announce that I am a Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral Paint retailer!
