Most everyone reading this post knows me. You know that I am energetic, a self-starter, optimistic, and take pride in every project that I am working on and see those projects through to the finish.
I love people and enjoy working with them.

I have been at the Elk City News over 4 1/2 years and have seen the paper flourish during that time. Some say that the newspaper is a thing of the past and no one reads them anymore. I beg to differ! You let someone miss their paper, or there is a wrong name with a picture. Well, that's when our phone goes to ringing! Thank goodness for that, because that tells me, there are many who still read the paper.

Due to the health of my husband, Joe, and the extra duties I have in his everyday life, it is with a heavy heart that I find it necessary to resign my position as an Advertising Director from the newspaper. I have enjoyed my time at the Elk City Newspaper.

If you know someone that meets that criteria or If you are one of those energetic, self-motivated, positive minded individuals that enjoy people and would like a career in something that is a benefit to Elk City and surrounding areas, email your contact information to [email protected].

I will stay on staff until you get trained and I will be available anytime you need help. I care too much for the paper and you to leave whoever comes on board, with no support.

Prayers are greatly appreciated.

Blessings to you,

Neva

Thank you to all of those who stepped up and sent us pictures of your FFA or 4-H student. The special edition is in stores and racks around the area. Be sure to get your copy today. This week the paper is 30 pages, 18 of which was dedicated to the FFA and 4-H kids and it is a great paper.

Another “Thank you” goes to our FFA advisors and 4-H leaders in our area. I know this is an incredibly busy time for you with all of the shows and OYE. If we missed getting some of your students in the paper, I apologize. We tried to get them all but this was a massive project! And, if we made a mistake on some of the descriptions on the pictures, please show us some grace!
One more “Thank you” goes to all of the businesses who supported this FFA and 4-H edition of the paper. We can’t do it without you! 🤗

Attention to the proud parents of FFA students. We would like to have pictures of FFA students from Elk City, Merritt, Canute, BurnsFlat/Dill City and Hammon showing their animals in the county show or at OYE this past week.
The Elk City News wants to honor them by sharing their hard work and dedication in our next edition of the Elk City News.
Post pictures here with their name and their school or email them to
[email protected]
I know this is short notice, but please have them to us by Monday at 5:00.
Thanks for your help! Neva Pyatt
