Our student and staff attendance is starting to suffer because of illness. NTI is not optimal. However, this will allow our custodial staff to provide much deeper clearing and sanitizing in our school buildings. This will also provide an opportunity for those who do not feel well to hopefully get better.

Our child nutrition staff will provide meals at all of our schools for Hardin County Schools students ONLY.

Families can pick up tomorrow’s lunch and Friday’s breakfast at schools tomorrow and Friday’s lunch on Friday. Elementary school lunch pickup will be from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM both days. Middle school and high school meals will be available for pick up between 11 AM and 1 PM on both days. You may go to the school closest to your home and do not have to go to each individual school if you have multiple children.

We encourage our families, staff, and students to wash hands often and take precautions to avoid being around others until fever-free for 24 hours without the help of medication.

UPDATE: Students can pick up meals at the school they attend in a drive-thru style from 11am-1pm each day. If families have multiple children, please feel free to pick up meals at a single school.

*Note: Only students who are enrolled at LaRue County Schools can pick up meals. Also, Preschool On College Street students can pick up meals at (LCHS, LCMS, ALES or HES).

Hawk Family, due to high rates of illness and continued falling staff and student attendance rates, LaRue County Schools will be closed to in-person instruction for the rest of the week (Feb 5, 6 & 7).

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday (2/5/25), we will use Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Days for the remainder of the week.

While this isn’t what we want for our students, we are facing the threat of no classroom coverage and not having enough bus drivers to cover all of our routes.

Students will need to work on their schoolwork at home. Teachers have communicated with students on what they will be doing tomorrow.
