Alert Day issued for Sunday in Kentucky. Outside of the soaking rains that start Saturday night, on Sunday (mostly in the dry slots), damaging wind gusts are likely. We'll avoid the major severe weather that the Southern United States will see, but we'll see some non-thunderstorm wind gusts up to 50 mph and these may lead to minor damages (limb damage, moving around or damaging loose items, etc.). Much more rainfall is on the way for your weekend (late Saturday-Sunday). At this time the severe probability is quite low, in fact, near 0. As the actual area of Low Pressure will be IN Kentucky. This means, there won't be enough "dry time" to enable severe weather. That's the, good! The bad? Keep those headache pills nearby, you'll feel the pressure! - George

~ Rain showers are moving East. The heaviest of the precip will be on the back side! Use your WeatherWise radars, for an accurate radar depiction! To check Precip rate on WW:
1. Open the app
2. Scroll in toward your area in Kentucky and select the closest radar site (the blue dots are the radar sites. It will turn green to show you that radar is on).
3. In the bottom left toggle to "Reflectivity" for rain and "Velocity" for winds.
