STORY: Aplington-Parkersburg and Dike-New Hartford football both competed in Class 1A District 3 this season, with athletes earning All-District and several Wolverines selected for All-State honors by the Iowa Football Coaches Association (IFCA) this season.

Aplington-Parkersburg's Adrian Huisman signed with Northwestern College mens soccer today. Huisman had 102 saves in goal on the AP/DNH regional finalist team last year.

Aplington-Parkersburg senior Peyton Klooster signed with Waldorf Volleyball today surrounded by familes, friends and coaches. Four-year letter winner for Falcon volleyball and recently named 3rd Team All-State by the IGCA.

STORY: A-P senior Quinnlyn Schultz, the first Falcon runner to qualify for State since 2019, completed the last race of her cross country career in 48th place out of 137 girls competing in Class 2A, crossing the finish line with a time of 20:46, ten seconds off her personal best she hit only a few weeks ago

STORY: A-P senior Quinnlyn Schultz let expectations go and ran for fun her senior cross country season. The result: the first Falcon State qualifier since 2019.

Schultz will run at the State Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge. The Class 2A girls will run at 2:00 p.m.

Congratulations to the Aplington-Parkersburg volleyball team for qualifying for the State Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday in Coralville.

The Falcons defeated Sumner-Fredericksburg 25-15, 25-19, 25-20 tonight at Waverly-Shell Rock High School to punch their second ticket to State in as many years.

Dike-New Hartford sweeps Wapsie Valley 25-14, 26-24, 25-21 to advance to their fifth consecutive State Volleyball Tournament. They will face Aplington-Parkersburg on Tuesday.

Final: 2A fifth-ranked Aplington-Parkersburg defeats Lake Mills (25-10, 25-16, 25-14). Falcons advance to their second consecutive Regional final on Wednesday, where they will face Sumner-Fredericksburg at Waverly-Shell Rock High School with another State banner up for grabs.

2A fourth-ranked Dike-New Hartford defeated Hudson (25-11, 25-11, 25-17) and will face Wapsie Valley at Cedar Falls High School on Wednesday.
