Join us April 14th at the El Paso Convention Center for our 4th Annual Sensory Friendly Hour at El Paso Comic Con, sponsored by WellPoint! This event is specially designed for individuals with special needs who would benefit from a Sensory Friendly event.

Check-in time will begin at 7:30am and sensory hour will begin at 9am. Participants can stay as long as they wish and are encouraged to dress up!

Tried Another Broken Egg Cafe for brunch today. It’s on Mesa & Sunland Park (the old Village Inn). They opened in November.

Excellent coffee! We tried the Barista House Blend coffee. ☕️

I had The Supreme Omelette with sausage, bacon, onions and mushrooms, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese and fresh country potato’s. Did not finish the omelette because I got full.

Mirthy had the Broken Egg Biscuit sandwich- a Fried chicken tender and egg topped with country sausage gravy on an over-sized biscuit. She took half to go.

Then we got the Bourbon Street short stack Pancakes to share. Topped with bananas, pecans, rum butter sauce drizzle and whipped cream. We took one bite each and the rest came home for breakfast tomorrow 🤤

Would definitely go back to try other items on the menu, especially the Colombian Blend coffee and the Cucumber Mint Nojito.

Friends & Family event at El Paso’s first Dave’s Hot Chicken on Eastlake.
A+ Milkshakes 🤤
I got the 1 tender (light mild) and 1 slider (no spice) with fries.
My son got the 3 Tenders (mild)

The slider was by far my favorite! It’s more like a full chicken sandwich with coleslaw and pickles and Dave’s special sauce. The light mild tender left my lips burning. It was a good burn though.

My son was not feeling well, so he really didn’t eat. I’ll have to get back to you on the heat of the mild tenders.

Dave’s Hot Chicken on Eastlake officially opens to the public this Friday ! 👍

Today we announced the family that the Power 102 listening community is surprising with Breaking & Entering Christmas 2023.

Mom and 6 kids ranging in ages from 4 to 14. This year we are focused on clothes, shoes, jackets, presents and non-perishable food items for the family. Gift cards and cash donations will also be accepted to help Mom with meals, groceries, and bills.

We will be in the parking lot of Olive Garden on Joe Battle Tuesday morning from 7a-9a to collect any donations you would like to make. Locations for donation drop off on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to be announced.
