Proudly broadcasting from El Paso to the world since 1929
Originally signing on the air as KTSM 1310 sharing our signal with KDAH we eventually consolidated both signals under the KTSM banner and moved to 1380 in 1941 with a power boost to 5,000 Watts under the ownership of then Tri State Media (which eventually started broadcasts on TV channel 9 and FM on 99.9 and is the meaning behind our call letters to this day!)
We moved down the dial to 690 in 2000 flipping with our sister station KHEY-AM. the move gave us a stronger low band signal with 10,000 watts both day and night allowing us to better cover all areas of Far West Texas, Southern New Mexico and Northern Chihuahua.
