Sick as a dog but obedient to the call!
The day I took this photo I was battling a fever, sick as a dog and all I wanted was to go home and get in bed.
I had just arrived to a conference where I spent most of the day sharing about our ministry and the other half doing interviews.
Interesting thing is it was this very day that God confirmed that we were to move forward and do the Radio Show.
Backstory:
Months before we stepped out into ministry I had gone into KGBA Radio Station to help with a fundraiser when the station director heard about our ministry he asked if I would do a show.
I was like Bro, you crazy! I ain’t got no show material, let me tell you my answer is ...no!
Weeks later Victor Nuno from 95.3fm The Edge Studios approached me about the same thing! I was like “what is up with these people?”.
Yo, I didn’t even reply the Christian answer “I’ll pray about it.” I was like “nope”.
So I am at this conference Urban Youth Workers Institute and some crazy guy Gilbert Acevedo asks about our ministry then asks is we would be willing to do an interview. We agreed not knowing with who or what for.
It was a leadership podcast Purpose Driven Church with Mingo Palacio.
After the interview Mingo told me I should do Radio 😳.
I was like you’ve got to be kidding me!
That homeboy encouraged me to step out and I began praying about it that day!
No sooner had I gotten home and immediately I was offered a Live one-hour Radio Show on !
