🦋📚 me ft. my fave SJM novel!

just finished Crescent City book 1, House of Earth and Blood! exceeded my expectations BY FAR! loved the murder mystery vibe and the plot twist at the end had my jaw on the floor! the setting is so cool, I loved all of the different creatures/fae/angels, the hierarchy of the creatures also super interesting. PLUS my girl Bryce is such a badass FMC!

I love that I started off 2025 reading The Hunger Games series and now Crescent City. I must say that Katniss and Bryce are both my fave FMC ever written! both so badass yet selfess yet headstrong.

deff a 5/5⭐️ read for me! sidenote, Bryce would have been the BIGGEST BRAT stan 😉

📚🏹 just finished reading The Hunger Games for the first time and to say I thoroughly enjoyed it would be an understatement! it was exciting, fast paced, fu***ng gnarly! I had such a cozy morning enjoying this book and the snowy winter wonderland that we woke up to ☃️📚❄️❤️ definitely a 5/5 read for me.

Katniss was THEE badass action FMC (female main character)‼️ I can see how she is the blueprint for all the romantasy/action FMC that we see such an abundance of nowadays!

it was also just so different from what I remember of the movies too. can’t wait to keep reading this series! 🥰 so grateful to my mans for gifting me this series for my bday!

✨ happy 2025 ✨

2024 was interesting... truly a year of surrender and learning to trust the process. it felt like in 2024 I had written down a clear plan and path for my life, and the Universe/Creator backspaced it all and said “this is actually what you will be doing and focusing on”.

that being said, my personal life has become very busy all of a sudden. I am still dropping new podcast episodes, I am just not finding time to promote them.

yesterday, I dropped Episode 30 - “2025 Intention Setting”

Friday, I will be dropping Episode 31 - “30 Things I wish I knew in my early 20s” in honor of my 30th bday coming up this weekend! ♑️🐐🎂

📚 reading all of these gothic vibe novels lately has me finally re-reading my all time favorite book & book series! for the first time in about 6 years. it’s a gothic mystery about a bookseller’s son, set in Barcelona, with hints of magical realism.

with all of the new additions to my ever-growing collection of books, I figured it was time to start practicing gratitude for the beloved stories I already have vs. buying new ones every month. ❤️ also the Jane Austen novel that I just read, Northanger Abbey, really emphasized the joy of having a favorite novel that you can always go back to.
