From a biz owner in Mukilteo, as reported in an upcoming issue of our sister publication.

“There’s nothing kitschy or fun about Mukilteo right now, and we should be. We’re a coastal city, and it’s a cute little one, too. It’s not like Edmonds, where it’s saturated with humans."

02/11/2025

Starting today, regular Tuesday Edmonds City Council meetings will be called to order at 6 pm and are scheduled to adjourn at 9 pm. This change was approved by council at the suggestion of Council President Neil Tibbott.

“Consistent schedule expectations” for councilmembers, City staff, and public viewers was one of Tibbott’s reasons to advocate for this change.

“There has been an increase to extra or special meetings needed for council, and these meetings have usually been added before the regular meeting with varied start times.”

Tibbott intends to try to reduce these extra meetings, and to schedule any necessary after the regular meeting adjourns at 9 pm.

Regular City Council meetings are held on the first, second, and fourth Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in a hybrid format: in person at the City Council Chambers located at 250 5th Avenue North, available via Zoom, livestreamed on the city website, and viewable on television cable channels 21 or 39.

Meeting agendas and Zoom links can be found on the city website
