Our July public lecture on Monarch Butterflies unfortunately has been canceled as our presenters aren't able to attend at this time. We hope to reschedule for the future!

On the upside, Kristen Kneifl from Canaveral National Seashore has offered to step in to our lecture slot this month and present on sea turtle nesting at the park!! Make sure to join us for this great program, entitled "Holy Loggerhead, Batman," on Thursday, July 20 at 6:30 pm!

Congratulations to Battalion Chief Chris Dymond, Driver/Engineer J.D. West, and Firefighter/Paramedic Josh Powers for respectively reaching their 25, 5, and 5 years of service milestones!

Resurrecting a tradition temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 global pandemic, City Manager Khalid Resheidat and Mayor Fred Cleveland dropped in on Fire Station No. 50 to deliver certificates and bonus checks to each firefighter. Cleveland then went on to commend all hands for their professionalism during last week's Ocean Breeze Tiki Bar structure fire and the department's safety program that emphasizes prevention through free in-home smoke detector checks, business inspections, and more.
