I want to request prayer for the friends and family of "Carla Marie Akers Fike." Carla passed away last night after battling lung cancer. She has been a good friend and inspiration to many of us on this page. Carla was a very positive, creative, motivated and passionate lady. She fought long and hard and she will be missed by many.

Today, we would be celebrating our anniversary instead I am reflecting on precious memories. I wanted to share one with you that I hold dear. It was Christmas Eve we had 5 (foster) bonus children at the time one was a little boy named John. John had never put a star or angel on the top of a tree. We didn't think John ever had a tree he was four years old. I watched my husband for hours pick each child up to have a turn putting their choice angel or star on top of the tree. John was so excited he wanted to do it over and over and Bobby Windsor picked him up over and over until John had enough and was satisfied. I cherish each and every memory he provided for our family. Merry Christmas to all!
