Throwback to this past June somewhere in Okinawa Japan, with two of my beautiful team mates and - we flew together allllll the way from NY for 10 days of exploration, paddle boarding and snorkeling the famous Blue Cave, attending a 50 yr celebration event of the company we are partnered with in business, attending an epic VIP party with part of our larger community, and so much more.

We had an amazing time but this trip could not have come at a worse time 🤣

My youngest was just off of school here in Nicaragua and we had just gotten re-settled (barely) back in East Hampton. She was also leaving for camp a few days after I departed for Japan.

My partner was gearing up for his absolutely intense summer season as the owner of a luxury events catering company, my middle child was home from college and I don’t get to see her nearly enough….

There was a LOT going on, but in my heart ❤️ I knew I had to go.

To walk the stage in front of 8000 people from around the world to be recognized for my achievements thus far in this business…

Time truly does fly.

And the only constant is change.

And perhaps the fact that for my entire adult life I have actively sought out ways to combine my many passions- Yoga, Water, Paddleboarding, Travel, the Beach, Health + Wellness, bringing women TOGETHER, and reclaiming our joy, our abundance, our sense of self worth, our capacity to realize our dreams.

The business that I launched 3.5 years ago has been the missing piece of this puzzle in that the potential it provides on SO MANY LEVELS is massive and life changing.

Grabbing a big ass gallon of fresh coconut water in town right now (chopped open on the spot), headed to swim laps in swim class, and then headed home to do my homework for a high level coaching container I’m a part of to scale to 50k + months in my online business.

What you don’t see-
A lot of intensity in my personal life right now, me missing the other half of my family here in Nicaragua, and a lot of moving pieces that I am trying to sort out in the best way possible.

Life is always life- ing.
That’s just life.

But when you have big fat dreams on your heart ❤️ you show up and do the do ANYWAY.

For me that means self care (this coconut water makes my daily Kachava protein smoothie), movement (a body in motion stays in motion), and working on my business with consistency and dedication because it matters to me.

I had a call with a woman today in the same business as me who earned over 6 figures in 3 months.

Prior to that she had 13 months of no sales at all.

She stayed consistent, she didn’t quit, she continued to show up for herself.

I wanted to celebrate this absolute firecracker and gift of a child turning 11 yesterday !!!!

On a cold super foggy winter night, 17 days ‘post date’ (whatever the hell that means), after a tumultuous (but easy and beautiful) pregnancy in which I was precariously straddling the medical model and the midwifery model and was misdiagnosed early on with a very rare and very dangerous condition that ALMOST bed-rested me from 20 weeks onwards and would have called for a 36 week C section (thank goddess I listened to my intuition instead)…

After a big dinner and a full pint of ice cream 🤣, my water broke at 11pm (I was actually - I admit it - binge watching Breaking Bad 🤣🤣🤣), messaged the midwife who told me third births are unpredictable, shook Adam awake, cleaned the house, called my mom, and then, before I knew it, was in major transition….

Tried to shower but the water was freezing cold.

What the heck?

Well- we had moved into the house we bought (a MAJOR fixer upper) and the hot water heater decided to break the night of my labor and what was supposed to be a water birth.

From there everything is a blur.

On the periphery of my awareness my mom and Adam were up and down the stairs with pots of water from the stove filling the birth tub, I was shaking and having pretty intense back labor on all 4’s on the floor, finally there was enough water to get SOME relief as it barely covered my sacrum and lower back.

Then, I reached down and felt hair.

Then, there she was - at around 2:30am (we forgot to check the time !)

Oh Jahya.

It’s been a wild ride ever since to say the least.

I love you more than words.

You are and continue to be one of greatest teachers and one of my biggest blessings. ❤️❤️

Grateful.

Today and every day.

For vibrant health at the age of 51- as a result of dedication and consistency to taking care of the gift of my physical body to the best of my ability for most of my adult life despite some (very common) self sabotaging habits and programming to the contrary 🙏

For the ability to create uncapped income in the online space over the last 3.5 years when I finally found a vehicle that actually WORKS and delivers on it’s promise of financial freedom and leveraged passive income and legacy wealth potential. No, not overnight success or get rich quick but a proven to work and convert company, product, compensation plan, and mentorship and support that, when ACTUALLY implemented, changes people’s lives. To be a part of this and to be able to create this for myself at this stage of my life and to be able to support other women and families to do it too is something I thank God/ The Universe for every single day.

For family + friends who stand by me- through the ups and downs, through my shortcomings and mistakes (and there are many), I am beyond grateful.

Whether or not you celebrate this (somewhat controversial- aren’t they all ?🤣) holiday-

Well other than losing my new nose ring on the first wave that crashed on my head, that was so much freakin fun, and I’m getting resettled nicely 🏄‍♀️

Thank you all for your beautiful comments on my recent post about life choices, regret, missing one place when you’re in another and vice versa, and life being…life.

This is one reason I love FB. As a touch point and a way to connect and share information, support each other from afar, and to enable us as humans - no matter where we are in the world- to share our human- ness and be held through it all.

So thank you thank you thank you 🙏 .

I’m still missing the smooth roads of NY, my cozy bed, my office that I love to work in with everything I need at the ready, the ability to order up just about anything from Amazon and receive it basically the next day as opposed to one month later 🤣, Carissa’s or Armin and Judy croissants 🥐 (OMG), longgggggg runs on white sand beaches that stretch for miles and miles without interruption, and the many comforts of a developed country, plus my friends and family of course, fitness and yoga classes all hours of the day or evening, and really really good manicures 💅…

There’s more, but that’s the short list 🙂

Instead, for the time being, I’ll take some clean warm waves, tide pools, pineapple smoothies 🍍and fresh chopped coconuts, $20 massages, and warm air all day every day, without fail, plus my youngest in a place where she thrives, and our little family navigating this adventure together…

I’m in bed with a cup of hot cocoa made with raw milk (YUM), the car is loaded up with THREE humongous suitcases full of food that we cannot source in Nicaragua 🇳🇮 (which means basically everything), the house is clean (ish), the dishwasher is empty, the laundry is folded and put away, there’s a big note on the kitchen counter with the words -

CHEESE -

in capital letters (to not forget the frozen organic grass fed cheddar cheese from the fridge that Jahya loves so much that we also can’t get there…

The shades are drawn, the heat is turned down, appliances unplugged…

I’m proud of myself for being ready this early. I’ve been staying up WAYYYYYYY too late taking advantage of being alone, no school preparation at 6am, nowhere to be, my time is my own right now.

And I’m a bundle of so many mixed emotions as I once again leave the home that I love so so much and yes am quite attached to, to travel tomorrow 15 or so hours door to door, our organic food in tow, to a place that I also love, but am feeling the undeniable urge to figure out what’s next.

I’m a traveler to my core, but I’m also nostalgic and a homebody, and, like all of us, one huge bundle of contradictions.

And while I’m so grateful for the freedom of this life, that I have the luxury of living in two places, the luxury of buying all of this beautiful food to bring down there tomorrow, all of it-

I’m in a place of limbo wondering what’s next?

As the absolutely gorgeous day today got much cooler as soon as the sun set, I was reminded of my desire to escape to a tropical 🌴 place, and then I look at this photo of Jahya from a few winters ago and think- ah, that’s not so bad - we can brave NY winters 🥶 !

I know there’s a balance to be struck here.

I’m just trying to figure out that that balance looks like and considering everyone who is involved in that decision ❤️

Tell me in the comments - did you ever make a BIG life decision and then realize you had make a mistake? How did you navigate that? It’s a vulnerable question but I would be grateful if you are open to sharing. ❤️❤️❤️

Eye of the Needle.

One of my most favorite twists for opening and widening and stretching the back body….

Lengthening the rear deltoid of the bottom arm…

Spreading the bottom half of the back body (the part closest to the earth) AWAY from the spine..
.while simultaneously wringing out the digestive and other internal organs… creating a beautiful compression to DETOX and then release …

The top chest and shoulder open..

The hips and sitz bones pull back away from the crown of the skull, lateral rotation WITH a long beautiful spine

The thigh bones root back, the shin bones and the feet ground down- the foundation and the base providing stability from which to open.

Meanwhile long slow smooth inhalations slide DOWN the funnel of the torso and long slow smooth exhalations life up and out- releasing that which no longer serves - physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise.

One single asana a day can have a profound effect…

I’m on a plane as we speak to go see middle child Uma Rose in Charleston South Carolina. I haven’t seen her since mid August when she left for her sophomore year and I can’t wait to squeeze her (and she can’t wait to go shopping 🤣🤣) and while I may not be able to do this twist ON the plane I am doing some other seated twists and they feel SOOOOO good. 😊

I also have been chatting with one of my biz bestie soul sister goddesses and we are in the planning stages of putting together what promises to be an incredibly EPIC offering that I can’t wait to birth to life (and it has nothing to do with my own Enagic business btw!)

I just went live in my stories about this as well…

There are SOOOOOO many potential ways to make money online (I say potential because nothing is guaranteed) and it can also be super overwhelming to figure out what’s legit and what’s not, what’s the best opportunity and what’s not, what’s sustainable and long term and what’s not…

Oftentimes people are looking for an easy quick fix, get rich overnight, no start up costs, etc etc.

Let me tell you - it doesn’t exist. (Sorry 🤷‍♀️)

And most of what you see on here - MRR, digital products, low ticket MLM - are NOT going to give you LONG TERM SUSTAINABLE results.

Does it work for some ?

Sure- when they are able to grow huge followings, go viral on tik tok or IG etc.

But more often than not, it’s a whole lot of time and effort for very little results and then onto the next shiny object….

The company and the business that I am partnered with has been around for FIFTY years and they have a 500 year vision- they aren’t messing around.

It’s high ticket which equates to high profit so you can be successful even with a small following and small reach.

Because of the comp plan you can also use paid advertising to reach millions of people around the world 🌎

Automation, done for you funnels, email marketing, nurture campaigns etc work in the background to give you back your time..

And ongoing mentorship (like the one starting next week) and support ensure that as long as you show up for yourself, it’s only a matter of WHEN not IF you will reap the rewards here.

And…. Just like that, Jahya’s first half of 5th grade and half of our third ‘season’ here in southern Nicaragua is complete. We moved out of our rental today and are headed 4 hours up north to our fave (better) surf spot @miramarsurfcamp for the next month…. No our life here is not all perfect waves and smoothies and sunsets. In fact I question almost daily these days our decision to be here and what might be next for our family.
