The Pickens Sentinel was first published July 23, 1871.

The Easley Progress was first published July 23, 1902. Both papers have been serving their respective communities ever since. On Dec. 7, 2016, the papers merged to become The Sentinel-Progress which is proud to continue serving the Upstate as Pickens County's oldest continuously operated business.

Game Day Notes: The University of North Carolina is ranked No. 8 and brings a 10-3 record into Littlejohn Coliseum today. Clemson is currently 11-2 and ranked No. 16.
Last year, the Tar Heels defeated Clemson 91-71 at the Dean Smith Center. PJ Hall had 18 points in the loss.
Clemson is coming off of a 95-82 loss to Miami on Wednesday.
