Hiram was W3OEV later W3YH. Real nice guy. I helped him set up a receiving station in the nursing home I worked at and he listened to CW almost daily till he passed. ❤️

Donald V. Boudman, 74, of Stillwater, died Monday afternoon, April 15th, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born July 2, 1949, at home, in Stillwater, he was the son of Victor F. Boudman, who died March 23, 2006 and Eva Marie (Brown) Boudman, who died February 13, 2003. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Bonnie K. (Sharpnack) Boudman, on May 7, 2023.

Don was a 1967 graduate of Benton High School. He was a longtime employee of Wise Foods, Inc., of Berwick, where he had served as a supervisor and superintendent. He retired in 2014 after more than 30 years of service.

He served on Stillwater Borough Council for many years and was Mayor for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.

Don was a well known and avid amateur "ham" radio enthusiast and played lead guitar for the group called "The Orphans" in his younger years.

Surviving are his daughter, Connie L. Makara, of Stillwater and a granddaughter, Andrea Turner, of Danville.

Along with his wife, Bonnie and his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Louise Boudman, on October 22, 2010.

A Viewing will be held Thursday, April 18th, 2024 from 5 to 6:30 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487). Private Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the Family at Stillwater Cemetery with Pastor Jeff Farley, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.
