Royal Peeps is a Colorado supergroup that sounds like a funk project out of the early 70s, with massive bass lines, Hammond organs spinning through Leslie cabinets, and a very intangible, but present grit. Royal Peeps is centered around Cristian Basso, from Babaux & The Peacemakers. Royal Peeps features the New Orleans group "The Meters" lead guitarist Leo Nocentelli, vocalist Ty Taylor, Front Range staple CR Gruver, Particle drummer Darren Pujalet and Lenny Kravitz, trumpet player Ron Haynes. The group also has special guest appearances, and vocalist Kandace Lindsey presents the final puzzle piece.

Sad to hear this news. RIP Pharoah. I remember catching one of his concerts in NYC Central Park with Morphine.

Sanders, revered as one of the avant-garde's greatest tenor saxophonists, was a member of John Coltrane's final quartet. His expressive playing laid a path for generations of musicians.
