It might be cold now, but in just 4 months…. Idaho will look like THIS!
If you’re not from here, let me tell you, Idaho summers are next level. Warm days, cool mountain nights, and endless ways to enjoy it all.
Dock jumps, river floats, boating, great parks to enjoy, biking the Boise greenbelt, backyard BBQs… it’s the kind of life that makes you never want to leave!
Now to keep it real, yes we do get stretches of 100-degree days, and sometimes wildfire smoke rolls in.
But even with that, the quality of life here is tough to beat.
Wide open spaces, fresh air (most of the time), and a slower pace that’s hard to find anywhere else.

Boise’s weather isn’t something to dread, it’s something to enjoy!
Spring is perfect for hitting the golf course, with a little rain and wind to keep things interesting.
Summer brings a few hot weeks, but that just means more barbecues, lake days, and long evenings spent outside with family.
Fall is unbeatable—cool, crisp air, the leaves changing, and football season in full swing (Go BSU!).
And when winter rolls in, it’s time to cozy up by the fire, take the kids sledding, or hit the mountains for some skiing and snowmobiling.
Every season here is a reason to get outside, make memories, and enjoy the Idaho lifestyle!

Living on acreage in Idaho, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows.
Living on acreage in Idaho means constant upkeep.
Landscaping is a full-time job. Weeds pop up out of nowhere, and if you’re not on top of it, they’ll take over.
Rodents? Oh, they’re here. Mice, voles, and whatever else decides to move In, you learn real quick that pest control is just part of the deal.
And every time you step outside, you’re thinking about what needs to be done next.
If you want your land to actually look good and not turn into a jungle, you’ve got to put in the work!
But here’s the thing… It’s all WORTH IT.
The freedom to do what we want with our land, the ability to actually breathe without feeling crammed into a tiny lot, and the community of other families living the same lifestyle makes it all make sense.
My kids have room to run, we’ve got space for projects, and life just moves at a slower, better pace.
For me and my family, the pros outweigh the cons every single time.
We chose acreage, and it completely changed our lives.

Let me tell you why this is 👇
After living in the suburbs for years, I can confidently say that moving to acreage in Middleton, Idaho was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
If you’ve ever felt boxed in by tiny backyards, noisy neighbors, or strict HOAs, you know exactly what I mean.
Here are the top 5 reasons why I’ll never go back to suburban living:
1. Space & Freedom – Out here, you actually have room to breathe. No shared fences, no cars parked bumper to bumper on the street, no HOA telling you what you can and can’t do with your property. Want to build a shop? Park your RV? Start a massive garden? Go for it.
2. Peace & Quiet – The first thing I noticed after moving to acreage was the silence. No traffic noise, no barking dogs from three houses down—just pure, uninterrupted peace. The ability to step outside and hear nothing but the wind and birds is something I’ll never take for granted.
3. Room for the Family – If you have kids, acreage is a game-changer. They actually have space to play, explore, and be outside without you worrying about busy streets or packed parks. My kids can ride their bikes in the driveway, play soccer in the yard, and just be kids.
4. Self-Sufficiency – Living on acreage gives you the opportunity to be more self-sufficient. Whether it’s growing your own food, having a few chickens, or just having the space to create a setup that works for your lifestyle, it’s incredibly rewarding to have control over how you live.
5. Still Close to Everything – The best part? You don’t have to give up convenience. In Idaho, you can have all this while still being close to the city. Middleton, Star, and parts of Eagle offer incredible acreage properties that give you the best of both worlds—privacy and space, with Boise just a short drive away.
Making the move to acreage was about creating a better life for my family—more space, more freedom, more time to enjoy what matters. And if you’re tired of fe
Let me explain.. 👇
If you thought Idaho had just four seasons, bless your heart.
Here’s what you’re signing up for when you move here: Winter, Fool’s Spring, Second Winter, Spring of Deception, Third Winter, The Pollenating, Actual Spring, Summer, Satan’s Summer, Fake Fall, Second Summer, and Actual Fall.
If that lineup doesn’t scream bipolar weather, I don’t know what does!
If you thought you could pack away your winter coat in March, think again.
One day, it’s “Fool’s Spring,” and you’re breaking out the shorts.
The next, “Second Winter” smacks you in the face with a blizzard.
Just when you think it’s finally “Actual Spring,” you realize it’s just “The Pollenating,” and you’re sneezing so hard your neighbors are concerned.
And don’t even get me started on “Satan’s Summer” (aka when the pavement could fry an egg).
If you can’t handle the whiplash of going from “Fake Fall” to “Second Summer” in the same week, Idaho might not be for you.
But if you thrive in chaos, welcome home!
