Today, the Three Lakes High School Student Council presented a check for $750 to Feed Our Rural Kids and the Three Lakes Christian Food Pantry. We love when our students can give back to our community that gives so much to us.
Student Council ran concessions at many of the athletic events this past year. You might have seen them behind the candy/pizza/popcorn table at basketball games this past winter. Some of that fundraising money is now headed back into our community to help others. This is what small-town community is all about, isn't it?
Well done, Bluejays. Not just our Student Council, but the community members who purchased concessions, donated items and those who run the organizations that will use this money to do even more good.

The county’s planning and zoning committee will take up the request this Thursday, May 2, starting with a public hearing at 9 a.m.
The town board’s suggested conditions included two events a year, each limited...

COMMUNITY FOUNDATION SUPPORTS AED PURCHASE
After receiving a $4,561 grant from the Three Lakes Community Foundation (TLCF), the Three Lakes Fire Department (TLFD) will place life-saving AEDs with six first responders living throughout the community.
At a cost of nearly $700 each, the AEDs allow for quicker response times to heart-related medical emergencies in rural areas, which occur on average about ten times a year, according to TLFD Assistant Chief Lee Tauer.
“This will change the jobs of our first responders by giving them the tool to help someone who has suffered a heart attack and has a shockable rhythm,” explained Tauer.
TLCF Vice Chair Ginger Verch noted that the TLFD grant request fulfilled the foundation’s mission to support and strengthen opportunities in Three Lakes, stating, “Providing the first...
