January 6, 2025 - Ice Fishing Update

The Ice Fishing Tournament at Eagle Nest Lake, NM is still on schedule for January 25, 2025.

However, as of today, January 6th, Eagle Nest Lake IS NOT open for ice fishing.

On Monday January 13th, if the ice looks promising for opening for ice
fishing, State Parks plans to measure the ice.

The ice will then be measured again on Friday, January 17th to determine whether it will be feasible to open Eagle Nest Lake for ice fishing on or before January 25th.

We will post an update on January 13th.
