Johan Yardan ():

Johan Yardan’s passion for music began early, sparked by exploring his father’s record collection and later fueled by a middle school bet to produce an electronic track in a week. That challenge sparked a creative fire that eventually led him to Durham, NC’s underground scene in 2018, where he quickly connected with the community and began developing his signature style, driving, ethereal Techno with what he describes as “the bite of a good Thai curry bold enough to feel it, without burning your eyebrows off.”

Since then, Johan has performed and collaborated with standout local artists as the scene has grown, diversified, and endured challenges, including the pandemic. After five years of planning, he launched Kinetic Audio, a platform that gives artists the freedom to explore and express themselves without commercial constraints.

Poetic Note (.note):

Born and raised in NYC, Poetic Note grew up immersed in the soulful pulse of jazz and the rebellious edge of rock ’n’ roll, learning early how rhythm could speak when words could not. In 2022, a chance encounter with a Jackin’ House set from Marshall Jones at a park party reignited her long-held passion for music, inspiring her to step behind the decks and share her energy with the dance floor.

Defined by contrast, Poetic Note’s sound is visceral, hypnotic, and emotionally charged grit fused with raw feminine intensity. Now firmly rooted in North Carolina’s underground scene, she is a familiar presence in the Triangle and a co-host of events, helping cultivate experiences that honor the true spirit of underground music while continuing to shape and nurture the region’s dance community.
