Hey guys and girls, Let me plug my books for a moment. They are available at Apple, Barnes, Kobo, and a dozen other distributors. Sadly, only one - Red Night Revenge - is available at Amazon. I'm working on that.

The good news is, they are all discounted 25% throughout July at Smashwords.

Now, Red Night Revenge is a murderous psychodrama. The Belt Stories is a trilogy, a romantic quest in a space opera, aimed at women, particularly those who appreciate strong women characters. The Nebula Tales is also a trilogy, a sophisticated sci-fi story connecting evolution with alien biology, politics, and diplomacy, aimed at those with a taste for an inventive, perhaps weird, story.

THE NEBULA TALES ARE social science fiction. Expanding across the galaxy, humans reach the Orion Nebula and encounter Suranans, a space-faring, humanoid race. They are similar to humans with an important difference: they are tri-sexual; three very distinct genders participate in procreation. This single difference sets the stage for an explosive story, and Surana does explode - in violence, murder, r**e, kidnapping, and oppression. After the Suranans experience staggering loss, the humans try to rescue the situation, exploiting their history, interstellar politics, and their knowledge of democracy, institutions, and xenophobia. THE BELT STORIES is a quest across stars motivated by young romance. 203,000 words.

'Milky Way Tango' triggers the action. Short of graduating from high school, Jimmy and Sarah become lovers but are soon separated by Cruel Fate. Jimmy is incarcerated and exiled more than a thousand light years away. He must survive in an explosive, dangerous environment. Sarah is left behind to try to resurrect her life.

In 'Milky Way Boogie,' Sarah confronts the battle in her head, does she accept her situation and live her life on her home planet, or does she head out into space in search of a reunion with her lover.

'Milky Way Gala' concludes the Belt Stories. Sarah ends up lost in space. Driven by his obsession with finding her, Jimmy develops an enterprise devoted to search. The hunter becomes the hunted. He gains fame and fortune for his rescues, but he does not find Sarah. The day arrives when she has been missing a long time, and Jimmy begins to doubt that she is alive. The quest comes to an explosive end.

While browsing, I came upon a little known fact - JRR Tolkien was nominated for, but did not win, the 1961 Nobel Prize in literature because his story telling (in Lord of the Rings) was 'second rate.'

Apparently, there are no standards by which to judge fiction.

I knew that already.

My first novel is 'Red Night Revenge' (formerly 'A Thing of Dark Imaginings'). Amir and Serena, naturalized Americans from Lebanon, lose their only daughter, Lelah, in a mass shooting at her college campus. Serena gradually recovers from the grief, but Amir struggles. He develops and soon succumbs to a voice in his head, The Beast, a vicious, relentless, angry entity in search of deadly revenge against the 'gun people' whom it blames for Lelah's death. Amir's life is soon awash in blood, and he will struggle not to lose everything. 89,000 words.
