BLACK BUSINESS OWNER NETWORK
Black Business Owners represent a resilient group of people who are focused on a particular aspect of life. Power, resourcefulness and permanent stability is priceless. This is why we network. It's the sweet spot and it attracts everything you could ever need. We could be struggling with our health, spousal relationships and even finances, and still claw our way to participate in this spot. The magnitude in which we multitask to stay prepared for an opportunity may not pay immediate cash, but it builds proof, recognition and power-player characteristics.
LIVING, LIFESTYLE & CODEWORDS
In a black business owners network space, there are two types of people according to our interest in participating in the sweet spot; the for profit and non-profit representatives. Both of them are wings to the same bird and the bird is a community that must soar high in power, resourcefulness and permanent stability. We're not just here to find clients. We're here to transform the moment the opportunity presents itself for us to become both, the suppliers and the community behind the suppliers. We learned to take on this bird's eye view of the abode we share with others after noticing there are those among us who uphold a system for controlling our access to food, water, shelter, clothing, medical assistance, education and transportation.
If we all have nets to catch fish with, we could combine them and commission just a few people who would manage a widespread capture of fish for the entire community. This is true networking. Our codeword for money is "nets." We're not using our nets to catch fish, we're using our nets to catch the sweet spot. The nonprofit representative is willing to provide a service for free as long as the community covers the cost to get the service to the people as well as the representative's lifestyle and living expenses. The for profit representative will provide a service to the community based on monetary exchange and will use the profit to sustain their lifestyle and living expenses. Even while being materialistic and having a capitalistic mindset, helping others is a lifestyle for many of us in the black community.
SITUATION, REALIZATION & DESTINATION
The original application of our nets had to do with reciprocity. This means we lived based on indirect exchanges instead of direct exchanges (referred to as bartering), which meant we had hundreds of different places each of us could go to and get what we needed, because we commissioned just a few people to do a variety of things for the entire community. The system of reciprocity has been severed and we have lost our ability to provide for our own. If basic necessities were free, no one could force us to work for the dollar.
Although we spend a lot of our time trying to earn money, we network so that one day a lot of the things we pay for will be free. There are only two ways we can receive plenty of things for free that will bring quality in our lives.
#1. We will have made it available for free after paying for it as a collective (a less expensive way to help keep individuals in our community from spending money outside the community)
#2. We will have made it available for free as those who control the supply; including the production, distribution and preservation.
It will be difficult to achieve #2 if no one in our community is willing to share food, water, the building of homes, medical aid and other areas where mutual support can exist.
The destination that is now left for people who are truly interested in a life that money can't buy (money can't buy you a collective identity; you'll have to form it on your own) is a destination where the era we finally live in has us helping one another without the commercial influence that colonialism introduced to us.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this post and that you can appreciate my perspectives on who we are as black business owners with an interest in networking.
YOUR HOMEWORK
Your homework consists of two things:
1. Produce a similar article.
2. Create an image to go along with it.
(1) Copy this post, take it to ChatGPT and ask it to create a version of it with a sense of empowerment, upliftment and revelation (or three adjectives of your own). Then ask it for another version. After this, ask it for another version. In the comment section, share with me the one you like the best.
(2) Ask ChatGPT to write a prompt to create an image that would best represent the article. Once it has done this, simply ask it to create the image. Or copy the prompt and have your favorite AI image creator to create the image. Copy the image and paste it in the comment section right along with the article.
