We believe Sam is going to stay on air. We are not going to risk the hour drive home in the weather.

I didn't know the state fair canceled their concert tonight, too.

We will be back in 2weeks!

I'm not sure if we will be on tonight or not. We will make the decision close to 6 pm based on the weather/rain prediction.

We are not worried about flooding. We are worried about driving in the dark in a heavy rain with water running over the road.

We are paying very close to the radar prediction of where Debby is headed so we can make an informed, safe decision. If I lived closer, it would be less of a worry. Unfortunately, it takes me almost an hour to get home. Right now, it looks like that hour will be heavy rainfall.

We will let you know as soon as possible!

Allegheny Mountain Radio Day Sponsorship Guidelines

An Allegheny Mountain Radio Day Sponsorship allows you to support your local community radio station while also acknowledging a special day or event for a loved one, friend or colleague such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, holidays, promotions, christenings or other special occasions or memorial for a loved one.

Length of Message - The message may be up to 20 seconds in length

Number of times the message will be aired: 5 times on any given day - twice between the hours of 6am-10am, once between Noon-1pm, and twice between the hours of 3pm-6pm, unless specific program or other time is requested (for which there is an upcharge)

Date of message to be aired - This is on a first come, first served basis and no more than 2 sponsorships will be allowed on any given day

Deadline of submission - The day sponsorship message must be submitted no less than 2 weeks prior to the day you want to sponsor.

Cost of Day Sponsorship - This is a one-time donation of $50 (or $60 if requested for message to play during a specific show). The donation must be paid in full before the message is scheduled to be aired.

Content not allowed in a Day Sponsorship message - The message may not contain promotional, controversial, or commercial messages. It can't be used to further a political, social, or religious cause, or contain calls to action, comparative language, superlatives, or pricing or contact information. Day Sponsorships are not intended to be advocacy platforms, forums, or statements of belief. The message may not form an anonymous source. Names of persons running for political office may not be announced 30 days prior to the election.

Fly High Brother.

With deep sadness the Allman Brothers Band learned today that founding member Dickey Betts has passed away peacefully in his home in Sarasota, Florida, following a period of declining health.

Dickey wrote quintessential Brothers songs including “Blue Sky,” “Rambling Man,” “Jessica,” “in Memory of Elizabeth Reed” and many others. His extraordinary guitar playing alongside guitarist Duane Allman created a unique dual guitar signature sound that became the signature sound of the genre known as Southern Rock.

He was passionate in life, be it music, songwriting, fishing, hunting, boating, golf, karate or boxing. Dickey was all in on and excelled at anything that caught his attention.

Betts joins his brothers, Duane Allman, Berry Oakley, Butch Trucks and Gregg Allman, as well as ABB crew members Twiggs Lyndon, Joe Dan Petty, Red Dog, Kim Payne and Mike Callahan in that old Winnebago in the sky touring the world taking their music to all who will listen.

Our condolences to his immediate family, Donna, Duane & Lisa, Christy & Frank, Jessica, and Kim.

Play on Brother Dickey, you will be forever remembered and deeply missed.
