Official Nick Menza Documentary 'This Was My Life'
Red Carpet Screening Date Announced

Screaming Butterfly Entertainment, in partnership with Ellefson Films and BayView Entertainment, have announced the new date for the red carpet premiere event of the fully authorized Nick Menza documentary, This Was My Life, Nick Menza's Metal Memories With Megadeth And Beyond. The highly-anticipated event will happen on Thursday, April 10th at the Laemmle Royal theater in Los Angeles, CA. Located at 11523 Santa Monica Blvd. West L.A., CA 90025. Members of the cast and crew will be in attendance for a Q&A session after the screening of the film.

This Was My Life was originally scheduled to have its premiere in February, but the screening was postponed due to the recent devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
BayView Entertainment is handling the global release of the film.

The film is an in-depth exploration of the life of Nick Menza, the former drummer of Megadeth, and one of the greatest thrash metal drummers of all time. It is a collection of stories from his childhood all the way through to the end of his life, recounted by those who knew him best. The documentary, authorized by the Menza family, will be the first to memorialize the drummer's legacy.

The trailer and official release dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Screaming Butterfly Entertainment in association with Ellefson Films has inked a worldwide deal with BayView Entertainment for the release to the long awaited Nick Menza documentary film "This Was My Life, Nick Menza’s Metal Memories With Megadeth And Beyond"
The film's red carpet premiere is set to take place in L.A. With a limited theatrical run in selected U.S. markets. It will also be available for digital streaming and on physical media including Blu-ray Disc. The trailer and official release dates will be announced in the weeks ahead.

Hey Everyone! Post-production on our new feature documentary film, This Was My Life: The Story of Nick Menza, is FINALLY nearing completion! I'm currently polishing up everything and pulling together the credit sequence. All of you who supported us through our Indiegogo campaign will also see your name and/or messages about Nick in the credits if you chose that as a perk! It has been a long road, but we have overcome the setbacks and persevered. I thank everyone for being so patient and supportive during the process. We are talking with distributors next, so keep your eyes peeled on where and when you can see the film - we won't know until we reach a deal with the distributor and/or festival showings. Hi everyone! I finally took the time to do a Cinematography Reel of some of my film work.

Video contains scenes from some recent projects where I was the Director of Photography.

In these projects I responsible for filming, running camera, lighting design and ex*****on, and technical aspects related to cinematography.

I wanted this short to be a showcase of my different skills and techniques including:
Narrative coverage, music video, gimbal, slider, drone, green screen FX work, tripod, beauty lighting, lighting for effect, indoor/outdoor, high key/low key, handheld and more.

I am ALMOST DONE with the next feature -- the Nick Menza documentary that's been in the works for what feels like forever. It's taken a while because due to some setbacks, the last bit of postproduction hit a few speedbumps and I had to pull myself up by my bootstraps and push on alone in the animation aspect. It has taken a toll on me for sure....BUT I am SO CLOSE to the finish line. Long nights, and no free time is coming to an end.....I am happy to have been able to make this film though! :)

But until the time for the doc to release, just in case you missed our last feature film, the dramatic thriller My Autopsy - it is currently available to stream on:
